“Our Faith being Stretched”

February 23rd, 2009

God bless all you blog-readers !!!

There are seasons that we feel that we are being stretched a little bit more than normal (Isn’t that the truth) I believe God does this because God wants to take to newer levels or He wants us to experience something greater that’s going to take faith to get there !!!!!

In (Hebrews 11:1) We are reminded that faith is not what we can see in the natural - rather it’s something you usually see in the supernatural or better yet through the eyes of faith !!!

This week i will encourage you:

1. trust God inspite of how difficult somethings may seem

2. Take the risk - playing safe will never get you to where you want to go

3. Don’t hold back - sometimes fear or other obstacles will seem to get in the way -just keep your eyes focused in your target .

Sincerely

God Cares About Your Desires

February 17th, 2009

God Bless all you blog-readers !!! Have you ever wondered, does God really care about my desires?

In (Psalm 37:3-5)The word of God gives us some insight to show us that He really does care - God really is concerned about each and everyone of our desires !!! - The scripture here teaches us a few things to consider in reference to our desires.

1. Trust in the Lord for what-ever your are desiring for -just make sure it’s something that not only makes you feel good but it also brings glory to God

2. Delight yourself in the Lord - meaning make sure your not consumed with what you want, and you forget that our real focused should be in the Lord and not in self - God wants you to delight in Him

3. Commit everything to God - whether you think it’s important or not - it all matters to God because He really does care for us.

After considering these few points remember the scripture concludes by saying-“And he shall bring it to pass” - Thank you Jesus !!!

Peter’s Fish Story

February 9th, 2009

God bless all of you blog-readers, here’s something to really look at as you read the story in (Luke 5:1-11) This was no exaggerated fish story, Peter encountered a real fish story miracle !!  This miracle of catching the fish was great,

but there’s more to this story - Jesus wanted Peter to know:

1. He knew where the fish were at

2. He was the miracle worker

3. And that the person that got into his boat was the Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of Lords (JESUS)

If you notice (Vs 4) After Jesus finishes speaking to all the crowds, He focuses His attention to one person (Peter). One of the main reasons Jesus got into Peter’s boat was because Jesus had greater plans for Peter’s life!!! -Jesus tells him that from that moment on he would cath men (people).

In other words, Peter had done pretty good in his profession as a fisherman - but now Jesus was about to give him a “Calling”  (just as he does for you and me).

Here’s some important key thoughts to remember:

A). Always stay open to what the Lord wants to do for you

B). Be-careful with busyness, it can cause you to miss out when the Lord wants to speak to you or call you to do something other than your profession (or job)

C). Keep a clean boat -you just never know when Jesus will get into your boat !!! (meaning your heart)

New Year 2009

February 3rd, 2009

God bless to all of our family and friends and Blog-readers. As you know the new year is going fast, we just saw the month of January zoom by us, so i wanted to remind you to keep up with your New Year resoultions (better yet) Lets talk about something more significant than a resolution, i call it “Commitment” you see resolutions have a tendency to have a short life-span while Commitment reminds us that it something more significant.

Let me give 3-keys in helping us keep up with our commitment:

1. Stay focused to what you’re called to do

2. stay passionate to what your suppose to do

3. Than you will be able to stay commited to what God has called you to do

Sincerely

Pastor Max
