“No Shortcuts to Life”
In (Proverbs 10:4) It says;“He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich” (Blessed)
(Proverbs 13:4) “The soul of a lazy man desires and has nothing, but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich” (blessed)
The above scriptures imply that in order to succeed in life or any venture we step out to fulfill, it’s going to take some diligence or some hard work- there are no quick fixes or short cuts anywhere really worth going too!!!
4-Thoughts in reference to this weeks title:
1. Work is not a curse- it is a blessing, because you will have the resources to enjoy the fruit of your labor.
2. Work is the opportunity needed for success - I usually say that God is waiting for us to step out and walk through the doors of opportunity that God makes available to us, but work is the avenue needed to make it happen.
3. Laziness - will only get us to one place called “poverty”
4. Earning what you want - will bring satisfaction and blessing.
So the next time your thinking how can I get to the top of my “game”or position or desired area in life - Remember it’s going to take some good old fashion hard-work. The bible declares that God loves those who are diligent.
Sincerely
Pastor Max

So one day all the hard work will pay off?
That’s great! Then it’s way worth the stuggle. As a child, I was a Daddy’s girl and anything I wanted, Daddy gave me. Things came very easy to me. IF I every needed something daddy would always be there to pay for me. In 1998 my dad was killed and removed from my life. I no longer could call up Daddy for my needs. The Lord then started to show me that life was really not that easy and you needed to work for things in life. Everything in my life came easy before that, or I learned how to hussle things on the streets for money. I had a wroung way of thinking and belived I could get money other ways. (The Easy WAy) I was always looking for that route.
I watched my older sister not have A father in her life, Noughting got handed to her and she worked since the age of 13. I Never really tought About how hard it was for her or how not having a father in her life must have been like.
The day my father was killed, I new I had alot of growing up to do. I did’nt understand How, But now I see what God was doing in my life.
My DAddy was my God, Anything I needed he Provided. Without my father passing I would never have my relationship with Jesus Christ that I have now. I do miss my Father very much, But now I know the meaning of Work. Everything my dad was trying to say, But i did’nt listen to. I now Know.
I have been clean and sober for 6 years now, The Lord has blessed me with a renewing of my mind. I CAn now think Clearly and Know that noughthing comes easy in life. If you want something you must work for it. That inculdes time and sacrifes. I am now inrolled at Clark Collage in GED classes and plan on countinue in the fall into college for degree. I also Have been going to VETI the last 3 Years and im almost have way through that. I all of a sudden have a passion for learning. I cant wait to see what The good Lord has in store for my future, But I will Have to Work very hard and not allow any Laziness to come in.
Anyways Pastor thanks for the Blog, you got me thinking!
God Bless YOu and HAve a Happy Fathers DAy!

This is a great Word of encouragement - like a good ol’ vitamin shot in the arm. It may NOT feel so good to hear that WE will have to “Be Diligent” in order to do our best for God, But SOOooooo Good for us!
There are a lot of us who have sought, prayed, searched, begged, pleaded, named/claimed, fought & even fasted for Success- only to find out that God said “YES” to our prayers BUT ALSO SAID… “Now get up, get out there, and get to work.” That wasn’t the answer we wanted, I think we really were asking God “can you do the WORK for me please because I’m in love with my couch” (or Like you’ve said in Church Brother Bed & Sister Pillow
Thanks for the encouragement.

Pastor,
I have missed everyone at V.O. I will be visiting again soon and I have been reading your blog and site! Keep putting God out there for those who need to hear it! What I always liked about you is that you even say the hard things that people need to hear even if they don’t like it.
